There are many legal events related to goods delivery services, especially those related to the responsibility of the freight forwarder for the loss of the shipment. The fact that is found is that claims submitted by the sender are not responded to by the delivery company so that sometimes disputes arise. Two boxes of goods that were sent were damaged by the ink. from this result, Zara suffered a loss of Rp. 5,000,000. It cannot be denied that consumers are in a weak position and tend to become victims in transactions with producers. Therefore, consumers must be protected. In the Yogyakarta area, there is an agency or institution that deals with complaints of violated consumer rights, namely the Yogyakarta Consumer Institute. The law that regulates consumers is Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection (hereinafter abbreviated as UUPK). Thus, PT. The Logistics Era remains a matter of pride for the people and the Logistics Era of course, so that it is still trusted despite the emergence of advanced technology such as email and cellphones.Consumer protection for goods delivery service users who experience damage to the goods sent is regulated in article 19 paragraph (1) of the Company Law which states "Business actors are responsible for providing compensation for damage, pollution and / or loss to consumers due to consuming goods and or services produced. or traded â€. If there is a standard agreement that cannot provide compensation, then the agreement will be null and void, because it is contrary to Article 1320 of the Civil Code which regulates the validity of an agreement.The first legal remedy that can be admitted by consumers who are disadvantaged by the shipping service is negotiation.
